As part of the Southside Symphony, Saber premiers his music composition "Hadhrami Nights" which was written in 2018. This event is part of Art27scotland's Festival of Migration, the Southside Symphony features musical fusion of many different cultural heritages. Hadhrami Nights” was inspired by Hadhrami folklore. The melodic pattern of the prelude is based on the Bedouin and tribal melodies - commonly known as Zamel - used during improvised poetic exchanges in ceremonies and occasions. It is believed that these primitive melodies have been sung since ancient times. The evening will include a keynote speech by the special guest the UN Special Rapporteur on Cultural Rights, Alexandra Xanthaki.
